If you're asking if it's wrong from the social point of view, I guess that depends on the individual you are asking as everyone has their own perspectives and opinions on certain situations.  For example, personally I think that it wouldn't be a wise idea for a seventeen year old to date a fourteen year old because of the following:

1)  The fourteen year old's parents
2)  What will happen when the seventeen year old turns eighteen and the relationship becomes illegal?
3)  They will be in different grades.  What will happen when the eighteen year old is going to university/college and the fourteen year old is just starting high school?  Wouldn't that make things awkward?

Those are just three things that I could think of right now that may cause major problems in any potential relationship between a fourteen year old and seventeen year old.  However, there are many more and therefore, this decision needs to be thought out thoroughly.
