Well windows: Pro: Lots of freeware shit to download. Uh, most games use windows.

Cons: Viruses, and looks like shit.

Very versatile and can do many many things. It can use just about any file type, and you can work with it to do what you want.

Cons: Virus's. Plus due to its ability to customize it the way you want, its easy to screw it up.

BUT! besides that, windows can have freeware. Viruses and the random little bugs and the "today i feel like im not going to work right" issues it has.
