I'm thinking of a five letter word. When I take away the first letter, it sounds the same. When I take away the first and third letters, it sounds the same, and when I take away the first, third, and last letters, it sounds the same. What is the word?

but then if you take away the first letter its just a "u" sound so its not that

i know right? and i havent been able to find it online anywhere but the person who gave it to me assures me that it's solvable...and that its an english word.

Also it could be a BUGLE.

It doesn't matter how many letters you take from a Bugle it still sounds the same.
