Right now, I go to a local commuter school that I'm pretty unhappy with. I never wanted it in the first place. My road to college has been a long and bumpy one but I'll spare you the dramatics and give you the bare essentials. I was initially going to be a musical theatre major but, unfortunately, was not accepted into any of the performing arts programs, was accepted into a few of the schools academically and was placed on the wait list (eventually rejected due to space limitations) for my top choice school. Now, still unsure of my major and whether or not I should bother auditioning again, I want to transfer out of this commuter school to a university that I feel is actually worth the thousands of dollars that I'm going to have to pay. A Dean's Evaluation form is required with the transcript that I have to send to the university. The problem is, I have to wait until after the first semester to apply because, you see, I don't have an official transcript yet - I'm only a first-semester freshman. As for the form, the only Dean that I know exists at my school is the Dean of Students but I'm not entirely sure. Would this be the Dean that must fill out my Evaluation form? Also, where would I go to ask the school to send a transcript to the university?
Any help or advice that can be given on the transferring process in addition to these questions would be greatly appreciated. I feel pretty alone in this process. Thanks!
