| I would say that seeking professional help should be your goal, you certainly dont have to be scared but being cautious is a good thing to do. Seek out a doctor, and then secondly a hypnotherapist or counceller depending on what your problem is exactly. Refrain from using medication if hypnosis alone will help, as hypnosis unlike medication has no negative side effects. If you dont have access to a hypnotherapist then seek medication and councelling, and be careful. If you do have access, but are also told to use medication use it in combination with hypnotherapy or councelling and lastly good luck to you. |

Thank you so much, I would get some meds if I could convince my parents to take me to a psychiatrist. They seem to think I'm perfectly healthy.
If it happens again, it sounds as though you need to show them what you do better to get it sorted than let it carry on & I hope things get better :) |

| I've actually self injured in my sleep. That's kinda scary. The answer for you seems to be finding a way to avoid panic attacks in general. Have you talked to your doctor about it? Some meds may be right for you. There are other ways to try to stop them. This site may help you. :) http://incestabuse.about.com/cs/healing/a/panicattack.htm Ignore the incest/abuse stuff. It has some breathing techniques and relaxation stuff. |
