ok I just started seeing a counselor. ( I have only had 2 appointments.) I cut myself. I have had some experiences that really get to me some times and I am overly self conscious.

All this week I was feeling really depressed but the last couple of days I haven't been and I keep questioning myself if I really need a counselor and if I am just making everything out to be more than it should. But this is the first time in my life that I have had emotional problems ( First time I have been emotional ) so I don't really know what to think.

So I am wondering if any one else who sees a counselor questions weather or not they actually need one.

Counsellors are there to be talked to, and they provide a service. So why not? They're there to help you deal with whatever problems you have. You don't have to be beyond a certain point to talk to a counsellor.

as a person who doesnt have a counsellor, i question whether or not i need one. i think everybody does from time to time, and i imagine that those with one do the same.
