I'd tell him, Plus sounds like he truely cares about you. Maybe he can even help you with your feelings of wanting too. I used to cut, and i used to drink and pop a lot of pills. Now, i am 100% clean from everything after 4 years and I told my fiance everything. we been together now close to 2 years and have a wonderful baby on the way. He has helped me and stuck by my side through everything. I stopped everything when we got together. I think he would support you and it's good to get it off your chest ya know? Be honest with him :) and good luck with everything and I wish you the best
Thanks, that honestly made the most sense out of everything
Your mind was made up before you started this thread. |

| I told my boyfriend about my history and now whenever I feel like I might relapse, he's always there for me to talk to about it. I don't have to hide anything and it makes it so much easier for both of us. |

You would just make him paranoid and constantly worrying about you. Is it really worth it?
Well considering I have been talking about how I need a psychiatrist, and he knows I had one in the past, I'm not sure how he'd be worrying any more so.
But I would see it as attention seeking, bringing up something unnecessary that would just cause other people distress. Maybe you should really think on the reasons you want to tell him. |

I think the truth is better than lying. I mean, even if he doesn't accept this...he kinda doesn't know what he has then , u know? But yeah, go for it, let him know about how u feel bout cutting now that u dont do it.
It's not really lying unless he brings it up and I deny it though is it? |

Not until it presents an issue or is directly asked. It serves no purpose unless it's becoming an issue.
I agree with this. |

I think you should. It's really sweet.
If you're not comfortable telling him, then don't. He doesn't have to know everything about your life. |

I think you should. He would support you and love you. It's best not to keep secrets from those you love.
