considered self-harm?

Also, when you self-harm, how does it make you feel? Do you just calm down or get a "high" from it?

only if you scratch yourself for the purpose of self harm is it self harm.

depends, when i used to cut myself i'd feel a sense of calm, and yet an extraordinary feeling of pain, that didn't really affect me.

I don't understand how people could cut themselves. Maybe I just haven't become bad enough yet that I actually bleed from it but I never scratch myself hard enough to bleed or leave marks that don't fade after like 10 minutes...

i don't know why you are anonymous, but anyway, a lot of people cut because of the reason that their physical pain, overshadows their emotional pain.

its considered self harm if you do it on purpose and i guess how it makes you feel is different for everyone when i used to cut it would give me a sense of calm and numbness and like ease all the pressure from my outside problems...but in the end i was just running from the issue, whatever made you do it you should try to fix it instead of hurting yourself cause it doesn't really solve anything...
