I am a different person wherever I go and depending on the people I am with. Is this normal, or whats wrong with me?

At home, I am super quiet.

At work, I am quiet and kinda wierd.

At school and with theater friends, I am outgoing, funny, and awesome.

With my high school friends, I am basically stuck in the past based on how they think and used to treat me.

Some days I'm super outgoing and fun, other times like now, I don't want to talk to anyone. What is wrong with me?

You ARE always essentially 'you', y'know. I think it's pretty normal to behave differently depending on who you're with and where you are. I do it, for sure.

It's great to be able to be outgoing when you're with friends. But when you're at home, there's no reason to run around making lively conversation and entertaining people, is there?

We adapt our behaviour to the situation we're currently in. Each situation - home, work, school - requires different things from you, and gives you different feelings.

So don't worry too much. I used to worry about it too, because I felt like I was several people, and each person was totally different. I couldn't figure out who I was - which one's really me. But they're all me, responding to various conditions. And sometimes I am moody and withdraw, and sometimes I am outgoing and excited. It is confusing, and it can be difficult if I say "yeah I'd love to come!" while I'm outgoing and then moody me has to deal with something she doesn't want to go to - but you're not alone and I don't think you're weird.

sounds like you wear different masks around different people to be honest. you get what i'm saying? This is about how you are around different people. some folks adapt or change to fit their surroundings. My brother is a real bitch at home for no reason but out with friends he's a happy man.

There doesnt seem to be anything wrong with you IMO. People just need time to themselves

Thats it right there, can I fix me to be one person all the time?

idk to be honest

thing is you want to be one person?

I mean it might be hard to do that cause of how different you are with the different groups of people

naturally you'll be different with your family than you are with your friends

like i NEVER curse in front of my mom OR dad

but in front of my friends we say fuck shit ass damn

tittietwister all that

I'm the same way...I'm usually quiet and observing with some of my friends...At home I'm loud and can never shut up or I'm always in my room and my family only sees me like once or twice a day...With my other friends I'm loud and goof off and do the dumbest things...

So I don't think you have a problem...you probably just feel differently with whoever you're with and their attitudes and personalities affect the way you act...
