Since when does the president of the United States need to use a computer?
I wasn't being sarcastic, I truly wish to know when internet, or general computer use is a necessity.

In todays world, someone in that position needs to know the capabilities and limitations of modern computing.

I mean, he could waste a lot of money on some sort of government program that computers could play a big part in, but he wastes the money because he didn't know computers could help. Or he could make ridiculous requests from the IT staff because he doesn't know the limitations of computing.

He doesn't need to know how to use one to realize their impact.

It just signifies his intent.

This is the modern age. Using a computer and using the internet is almost fundamental in a first world country. You are taking control of one of the most technologically advanced societies in the world and you don't even have the gall to sit down for a few seconds and learn about what just about every teenager in America learnt when he/she was 12.

Some people say Obama is out of touch.

No.

McCain is out of touch.

I don't know how to play Hockey but I know the limitations of the players... He doesn't need to know how to use a computer. You gave no direct occurrences when he would have to USE one. As for IT programs, he has advisers who know more about computers than anyone on this forum.

Why does this matter even a little bit? People getting worked up over this shit is the reason why politics is fucking ridiculous.

Where did you hear he couldn't use the internet?

I dont pay attention to the election campaign :D

Its true. And its the funniest thing alive. How you can't use a simple thing as the internet and run for the president of the US is beyond me. You can't teach old dogs new tricks.

SpottedTiger Posted at 3:48 pm on July 21, 2008
Obama ftw. I mean comeon, McCain is older than my Grandad.
