Isn't that ban against their "separate is not equal" ruling in the supreme court that they passed a while ago anyway?
That's something I've thought about , too. Plus, taking in that in neither case was the supposed equality actually equal.

Hopefully the ban will be repealed.

Good.

Hopefully they have the metaphorical testicular fortitude to do the right thing, uphold their previous ruling, and tell the christians/mormons to fuck off and take their fucking 2,000 year-old fairytale out of public policy.

then follow this

they should just give the gays a state to live in, and only allow sperm and babies in

and go live in massechusetts where you can get married

lol, why is this such a big deal in the US? I didn't even realize gay marriage was illegal until it showed up on the news when these two geezers married. Canada was like:

"Yay...eh." the end.

America has to make a big deal out of everything.

thats stupid, whats the point in voting if its going to be reviewed right after

Maybe the country-wide protests had something to do with it? (Including, of course, protests in California)

i support gay marriage, but it looks like theyre winning because they didnt get what they want

We had what we wanted.

Then the christians felt the need to swoop in and shit all over everything by writing discrimination into a state constitution based on their delusional beliefs in an ancient work of fiction.

That's why we're "whining."

No shit? They are mad because they didnt get what they want; that's why its called a "protest".

That being said, they're also right, so protest away!

soccastud07 Posted at 4:58 pm on Nov. 19, 2008

you think thats bad? a few years ago we had this vote and over 50% of voters voted against it, but like 3 judges decided they didnt want it to pass, causing us to vote again.
