| The world ending on 2012 is bullshit. Not only are people basing this off an ancient civilization that didn't even have to foresight to prevent their own downfall and who sacrificed people to make their crops grow... That sounds like a really wise people to me. I'm going to laugh my ass off in January in 2012! |

| I dont think I know enough about the event to make a choice, but the theories are interesting. From Planet X/Nibiru's orbit to Solar Flares to Polar Shifts, either scenario would be catastrophic |

seriously how many times can people claim that the world is supposed to end i remember years ago that people said it was gonna end 2010 and rember the hole Y2K thing this is bullshit just like all the other ones
The Y2K thing was never going to end the world...only bring most computers down. People saw a problem coming - they worked on a solution - the solution worked - and even the world of computers did not end. We can do the same with other world problems. We must. |

The end of the world could be today or a million years from now. only God knows when his return to earth will be
I agree. It could be around then before or after. A lot of different people say there isn't much time left though. |

| These warnings come and go and have for thousands of years. There may not be an apocolyptic massive destruction on a given date. But I've just finished writing to my member of provincial parliament and my Premier (roughly equivalent to the US State legislatures) asking their support for a low speed electric car manufacturer. That of course will not save the world alone. But it's one of many, many things we must adjust in the way we live and consume our resources. One thing that spurred me to write was also the mention on the news this morning that the US Congress just heard from the scientist (I didn't catch his name) who first warned them 20 years ago, of global climate change. He feels that the world is at it's pivotal point pretty much NOW. In a year or two, he says, there will be forces at work in the climate- a "tipping point" - where, nomatter what we do after that point, we won't be able to stop some of the consequences of our (my words now) greed and ignorance. Will the end of the world be in 50 years? 100? If so, I expect it'll be with a whimper, not a bang. And of course, it won't end ...just change to a dangerous, harsh world in which many will survive and many won't. |

Oh, shut up.
Just let them believe there faith. There is no point starting an argument about it if they decide to say something back. I don't believe in that whole god thing, you don't. But just respect what they believe. |
