I know exactly what you mean, over the past year in college I've only met 2 people who I would consider actual friends. I live in a 1 room apartment and it definitely does feel like a jail cell, there is so much to do out there but when you're by yourself its hard to go out and have fun.

Have a talk with your roommate about locking the door. Stop going home so often. Doing so puts me in a major slump. Talk to some more people... Become friends with your classmates, talk to people from back, home, etc.

Sounds like you need a change... First of all, tell your roommate to grow up and lock the door. That's not even safe and that's stupid to have to feel insecure all the time. Get friends... people you study with, friends at home, etc. Try dating a bit.. Do things when you aren't studying-rent a movie now and then, eat different things, talk to different people, and get time some alone time. Try to make your relationship with your parents stronger.. Keep studying and keep your grades up, it'll definitely be worth it!
