It's hard to choose MIT when you and your girlfriend have been in separate states for what will be a year in one week exactly. But it makes it really hard when your parents don't even care. I tell them and they were just like "Yea, well, let's just get you out of ___ first." The "___" was where I go to school. How much support is that? They always tell me how smart I am and then I get that response? No way. This sucks.. I feel like MIT is already a denial because of my family.
