Post Font: Verdana Arial Black Georgia Comic Sans Impact   Size: Tiny Normal Big Huge   Color: Default Dark Red Red Orange Brown Green Olive Cyan Blue Dark Blue Indigo Black [ Check Spelling ] [ Post Preview ] [ LiveTags ] FAQ Keyword Search: Post Options Favorites Manager Notify me of new replies to this topic by email Notify me of new replies to this topic by private message Original Post FarscapeForever Posted at 7:57 am on Feb. 2, 2007 Hey everyone.  My best friend and I find ourselves constantly arguing.  He betrayed my trust a year ago and I have since forgiven him.  We used to talk every day on the phone and hang out constantly.  Now that he's back from college, we really don't talk as much.  He wants to be alone all of the time and whenever I ask him to come over or to talk on the phone, he is distant.  He seems to be making time for other people all the time now.  Don't get me wrong, everyone should have other friends but I feel like I lost my best friend cause we are so distant now.  I don't understanding what happened.  I stick up for myself and ask why he doesn't come around anymore and doesn't talk to me about anything anymore.  He ends up getting very angry and saying hateful things to me.  It really hurts my feelings cause I'm a really sensitive person.  I am trying to mend the friendship but I don't know what to do.  He says that we need time away from speaking or hanging out for awhile because he's so angry with me for asking me those questions.  What he did to me in the past was really deceitful but I forgave and let it go.  I think there may be trust issues still lingering as to why I am questioning why he doesn't come around.  I don't know what to do.  It's a hurtful situation and has been going on for awhile.  My best friend just doesn't take the time anymore and does for everyone else.  He told another friend of his that we aren't best friends anymore because I keep asking him why he's distant and why he doesn't call or want to hang out with me.  Any one out there have an opinion on this?  What should I do?

Replies ivbob2 Posted at 8:11 pm on Feb. 6, 2007 i had a similar situation, my best friend for like 4 years, we hung out everyday, talked on the phone everyday, everything together. the last few months we were friends, he became distinst getting ready for college, and got made when i got a boyfriend. then when someone told him i said something about him, this thing was something that he knew i would never say, he knew me that well. but he let it mess our relationships up, its been like 3 years, and i avoid talking with him if i can, because he became someone else.  he never asked for forgiveness, and knew we would never be the same, he stoped trying and me it just keeps me from hurting if i dont talk with him.  i dont know if this helps and sorry if it don't everyone is different, you really have to make your own choice.
