Comparative politics uses set methods and statistics to analyse different systems...in that way it's a very scientific study. And a politics degree is very much like and English or History degree with regards to jobs. I mean you can pretty much do anything. My politics alumni at my University work in the foreign office, parliament are MP's around the country, journalists some work with the UN, some have unrelated jobs in PR and places in Media such as the BBC etc etc. Personally I want to go into the theatre. We get more essays and reading then my friends doing other courses. Over here it's seen as a very respectable degree as well..but it might be different in the USA. Minor. You kind of a get a mixed bag. The conspiracy theorist, the diplomat, the Margret Thatcher, the Libretarian, the James Dobson and the Social reformer. It makes class interesting.
