So my college sent me something in the mail yesterday that said I have 20 credits. Does anyone know if I automatically get these, or if I only get them if they are in my curriculum?

Yes. You get credit even if you  would have never taken the class. I came in with 18 and it helped alot, plus is boosted me into Calc 2 as a Freshman which was advantageous seeing as I am a math major.

you probably got them based on your AP testing scores. No one automatically just gets credit for no reason.
I mean, do I get the credits automatically because I scored high enough on the AP tests, or do I only get credit for the classes I would have had to take anyway? If I'm a business major who doesn't have to take Lit 215, and I scored high enough on AP to get credit for it, do I still get the credit even though I would never have had to take the class?
