| You can be any major and still be an investment banker. Take some applied math and statistic courses, and then after college, pass the security tests and the c.f.a program. Go check the average income and what jobs people get with an econ major, it's not that great. |

my *rich* friends and acquaintances all went into engineering or nursing for their careers.
really? Engineers may have a good starting income, they their income don't rise much. Engineers probably won't have a shot at upper class without being in a start-up or starting their own company. With the workload that most engineers have, I'd say engineering would actually be a poor life decision. I'd suggest going into the Medical field. Taking a loan out for Med. school is well worth it:) |

| if you are thinking about getting a degree just because it pays alot thats a mistake. soo if you goto community college and get loans for that and then get a good paying job then they loans should pay off in a few years depending on how much you pay a month. you are actually loosing money by not getting a high education...... |

| I would say anything medical related...or a science field that can get you into something medical (Biology, Chemistry, etc) Business is good...but I mean, EVERYBODY is going to school for business just about. Not something I'd wanna do...there's enough business majors already (no offense) |

Engineers make good starting money, but... who wants to be an engineer? Ugh.
Precisely. Maybe electrical engineering would be good for me. |
