They all say that they don't care but I was wondering truthfully if they prefer their own. And I'd like answers from people that actually have heard things from reliable people about this. Second, I need to apply as a transfer student to some schools and a freshman in other ones. When I go to register for the common application it says "I am applying as a (First-year, transfer) student. You will not be able to change your selection to this question after answering." But then in later pages when you search for a school it gives you an option for applicant type (transfer, first-year, no preference.) SO if I say I am a transfer student when I register, can I still be a first-year applicant at some schools? Only answer if you actually know something about it. Thanks.
