So that i go to a school closer to home. Or simply a school that's cheaper. Should i wait to finish my year here at AIC? Or try and transfer out immediately?

Transferring isn't really that bad, I think you're kind of overreacting. I transferred after my first semester because I hated the school, I just got stuck there because I didn't apply to enough colleges and my grades in high school suffered my senior year. I transferred again because I decided I wanted to major in something else and am now gearing up to attend a school that has enough options that I shouldn't have to leave again whether I change my mind about my major or not. I haven't purchased anything. But my scholarships and loans have gone through. So i'm not sure if i'll be stuck trying to pay those off while im attending another school...
