There was a country wide restriction of five universities because of the way the system works. I was limited to four medical school choices though, and the last spot had to be a non-medicine course.

Twas 6 when I applied....I have no idea why they decided to change it to 5.

I applied to 10. Was gonna be 11, but the last school I was really only looking at to be near my BF who then broke up with me.

Don't EVER let your family or ANYONE decide on a major decision like that for you. Do it behind her back, or whatever, I don't care. But that decision could affect the rest of your life. Don't let someone hold you back like that...

Sometimes, you have no choice on that. Especially when it comes to who's footing the bill.

I personally applied to 2 schools- though I had originally planned on applying to about 5 schools. But as soon as I got word from the first school which was my first choice, I threw away the apps and cheered with joy (obviously I got in). I was also lucky, because I didn't have to pay for the fees as I had waivers for that thanks to the program I was in.

I only applied to one. Luckily, I got in. My parents didn't give me any limit, but they knew I was only applying to one.

my parents didnt care, but they probably would have whined if the app fees were really high

How about you fucking explain your stupid bullshit remark then, instead of doing what you always do and making yourself look like a retard.
