I ended up settling with Nottingham to do Biochemistry after being rejected from everywhere else to do Medicine. I'll pull through =]

Sent off my accommodation form online though. Granted it's a bit late because I had to wait for the replies from the rest of the unis.

My first choice is self-catered ensuite (broadgate park) just outside the Uni campus. The second and third are both catered halls (Cripps and Lenton and Wortley), these are shared ensuite, so I have to share it with one other person. my last choice was also self catered (raleigh park), but this is a house with 6 other people, with a living room!

I hope I get BGP, the place looks amazing!

Do it now, sooner the better. I know a lot of people who have had problems with it and have been at uni for half a term and not got a penny. The earlier you do it the sooner any problems can get ironed out.

Go here:

http://www.studentfinancedirect.co.uk/portal/page?_pageid=53,1263071&_dad=portal&_schema=PORTAL

Then click on "Please register my details". This takes you to a page of info where you have to click "Register my details" again.

Fill in some info then you get an ART number and you can log in to your account. From there you can start filling in all the questions, which seems to take forever.

I'll do it theis weekend

do evrything possable

reply to offers.

I might be different to you, I'm on a gap year. I accepted my offer last summer and my uni told me to wait until after Easter to sort out accomodation and I'm currently ploughing through student finance direct.

Yeah, you have to confirm the Uni as your firm offer (at least with Nottingham) before you can sort out the accommodation.

Sweet as. Grad entry is more competetive, so just make sure you do a shit load of voluntary stuff and have a good interview etc. Oh and that stupid UKCAT/MCAT stuff.

Are you going to do a mature student entry after your degree or just leaving medicine completely?

Graduate entry medicine, I'm not going to abandon the idea of doing medicine. it's what I really want to do.

you know, from a more experienced point of view I REALLY would advise you to go and repeat your A-levels and doing something you really want to do that will definitely get you a job that you love... It is only an extra year, which is nothing in the span of things.

I wouldn't repeat my A-levels anyway. There's nothing wrong with them.

But I'm doing 3 years Biochemistry then 4 years graduate entry medicine. I'll end up in the same place, just takes me a year (or two depending on the medicine course) longer at university.
