I'm 21 and transferring from a community college to a university. I want to join the school's equestrian club and choir. My parents refuse to let me pay money to stay in these extra curricular activities, or any extra curricular activities for that matter.
They will not let *me*, or them, pay to join.

I didn't ask their permission. I just brought up the fact that I was planning on joining those. Than they asked me if it costs extra to be involved. Of course it does! Than they said I won't be joining anything that costs more money, no matter who pays for it.

why are you even asking them just do it, if they pay for your school then you pay for the extras. you ARE 21

Ha, why would they care what you do with money as long as you have enough to get through college?
