I met a girl who shares an apartment with her brother and I thought that was kinda weird.  I didn't ask, but it seems like one of the things you'd have to worry about would be accidentally seeing each other naked.  Especially cuz this girl said they have a 2-bedroom, 1 bath apartment.  Also, I wondered how they handle it when one of them brings somebody over for sex.  Has anyone shared a place with their opposite-sex sibling/ If so, how did you handle these issues?

I know, how can two people who are siblings stay in the same house?

When the second one is born, the parents have to buy another house just to make sure they don't even come into contact...

haha.  this made me laugh.

Who would you know better and trust more than your sibling.

I may have a similar situation next year.  My sister will be coming to the same school and it makes no sense whatsoever that she lives anywhere else.  I have a two bedroom apartment and we have always gotten along great.  I suggested it to her and she gave me a big hug.

So you don't mind that her living with you might force you give up certain freedoms, like being able to walk around naked, sleep naked, leaving the bathroom door open when you shower, etc.?

most people don't do that

is it weird at home sharing a bathroom with your sibling.. I find that living with my sister at home is usually problem free, and that the only potental problem would be with hooking up.

I doubt anyone who has been in a situation like that has ever had to "handle the issues".  It's just one of those things where you figure something out without having to talk to the other people in the house about it.

Well, I live alone and keep the bathroom and bedroom doors open when I shower, cuz it's easier to get dry that way.  So when this girl told me she shares a bathroom with her bro, that's the first thing I thought of.  Plus, I like to walk around in my underwear in the mornings when getting coffee from the kitchen, and I know girls like to do the same thing.  I tried to imagine if I had a sister who had as hot a body as this girl did and she walked around in just her bra & thong, it would be pretty distracting seeing her that way.

Weird.

Leave the bathroom door closed when you shower. Keeps the heat in. You only dry off faster with it open because the water evaporates, which in turn makes your body cold.

Most brothers and sisters don't walk around in their underwear in front of each other. So, I highly doubt they've ever been concerned about accidentally seeing each other in a wrong way.

All of your posts on this website seem to be about siblings.  It's a fetish you need to get over before it somehow screws up your life.

My BF lives with his sister...They tend to keep themselves clothed unless they are in their room or in the bathroom...and they lock the doors...She leaves him alone when Im and he does the same when her BF is over...

So you never had to worry about accidentally seeing each other naked?  What about the sounds coming from the other one's room during sex?  I think it would be kinda hard to hear that kind stuff and not get weirded out on knowing that sex wwas going on in your apartment and you weren't involved.

it's just like having a room mate

^ That. I've lived with my brother. It's not weird, they share a bathroom and leave each other alone when they have people over.

It isn't as if the two of them are sharing a bunk bed or something, they have their own bedrooms.
noraa Posted at 7:30 am on Nov. 11, 2008
They'd just probably leave if the other one had somebody over for sex.
I have a same sex sibling but we don't share a room.
