My friend was diabetic and needed her insulin really badly...and other times, I've been woken up hearing people run down the hall to get the police, etc.
Anythingl ike that happen?
also one of my friends was smoking some bad weed (i deffinatly don't condone the drug use but he's a good guy) and had a really bad trip, got really paranoid had to call 911. i belive that actualy happend twice. my other friend was just recently evicted for getting caught smoking up in the room 3 times!
I have witnessed a police arrest of some dude that was stealing cellphones, ipods, laptops, bikes, and weed (I was surprised he fit all this shit in his room). He was a resident of my guyfriend who felt rather annoyed that a resident of his was actually doing all that shit and made him look bad. The guy was all over the paper the next day, obviously.
I've heard a shitload of stories of where people have passed out in the wrong halls, outside thier doors, and I personally have told off some dude for waking me up at 4am. I told him he was in the wrong hall, had the wrong room, and that I was not his gf! Eventually, after he kicked my door (thankfully he was too drink to have any strength), he walked away.
One night, I saw an RA I knew outside of our dorm and just started yapping at him. He kept getting anxious and looking down. When I looked down where he was, there was a little bag of coke. As the rules state, he wasn't allowed to touch it and he had to call for a police officer to come and pick it up right where it was.
Lots of stories but to be honest- that's what you get when you shove 140 people into a small building. I have a lot more memories about us having fun and such than these, that's for sure.
Another incident was when one of my residents got so drunk that she puked in her room, vaccumed it up (oh great!), then had to have someone help her shower to get herself cleaned up.
I got called a few times when I was the RA on duty to another hall, multiple times in one night. The people were obviously drunk and just being quite loud and obnoxious, but they weren't leaving or keeping quiet, no matter how many times I went to tell them to shut up. I ended up having to kick the guests out of the hall and asking the residents to go to their rooms.
There may have been more, but I don't quite recall, it all kind of blends in.
Oh, once I got called by this girl who was on depression meds, and I guess she ran out of her meds at 11pm, on a Friday, and she was under 18, so there was really no way to help her out, so I just alerted her RA on the hall and he tried to hang out with her, to keep her mind off of everything so that she felt more comfortable.
