I feel totally discriminated by her phrase to the household "lock your doors, "name" is gay and wiccan."

she said it in anger, given I was just honest about who I was.

could I press charges?  I personally don't care about her, even though now my dad says she feels sorry.  but hell, I don't think she should get away without an apology.  If she doesn't apologize on her own, even though I said I expect an apology for that comment, I may just go through with it, after I leave the house.

If it gets to court, I will only require she apologize to me in front of the court.  no money...even though I'd like the last part of the month's rent back...but I don't have 20 days of notice anyways.

do you think the court will accept those terms?

yeah, well. it shouldn't excuse explicit rudeness.  btw, I can at least get a gag order.  I looked it up.  in this situation, it's feasable.

it does.  if you don't like it, move to china.

and no, you can't.  i have the funny feeling you have no idea what a gag order is.

fyi: washington is part of the united states of america, where we have a cool thing called the first amendment, i think you may have overlooked this.

well, after puting up with 15 minutes of her ranting about how the world is going to hell in a handbasket because I mentioned in the list of newly approved clubs, as I was naming them off, one of them was a pagan/wiccan club.  she goes off spouting nonsense about how all of them are evil and worship satan, when it's clearly not true.  I speak half a sentence, and she asked if I was wiccan.  I was about to clarify that even though I do celebrate the holidays, I just identify with pagans and wiccans.

she goes "I don't want to hear anymore.  your contributing to the problem" and storms off.  I put up with her ranting for 15 minutes, helping her move stuff, and she won't even allow me 30 seconds...yeah, I'd call that discrimination, her comment that is.  if she'd have left it well alone, I'd have not really cared.

Free speech my friend. But keep in mind angry words are hardly true, they are meant to hurt. And are you going to tell us that you did nothing to provoke that out burst?
tenchi1084 Posted at 8:02 pm on May 19, 2008
damn...well, she just better stay away from me after I leave.  I am not putting up with her and her upity "holier than thou" attitude.
TheAntiBarbie Posted at 8:02 pm on May 19, 2008
You can't press charges for that. Maybe if it was all the time you could get her for harassment, but I'm not sure. That just seems like a waste of everyone's time anyway.

lol you can't press charges on someone for saying something.

(unless of course they threaten a life)

Doubt you could past charges. Sorry :(
