so basically, i went on a "pity date" with this one guy. he was really interested in me, i wasn't so much but i was being nice and he wouldn't give up. now he thinks we're "hanging out" and he keeps asking me to do different things with him.

how do i get rid of him nicely?

Tell him the truth.

it was very cruel of you to falsely leading him on... NEVER go on a pity date

*for falsely leading him on

Honestly, you shouldn't have led him on in the first place. The best thing to do is to end things as quickly and painlessly as possible to avoid hurting him anymore if you keep it up.
