My boyfriend managed to pile two large bars of cheese we cut up onto a plate without losing a single one....it was incredible!

But no, on to the real topic:

We've talked about next year and the long-distance relationship we'll be in and were always like "every thing's going to be fine."

Well Saturday at my open house every one was asking me "are you excited? are you ready?"  and I'd answer "yeah, I'm excited, though I haven't started getting ready yet."

I guess that saying that over and over finally got my boyfriend to realize that we WON'T see each other almost every day, most likely at least once a month except on breaks, and he started getting really down....He's one of those guys that doesn't cry often, and when he does, it's not in front of people, but he couldn't hold it in and started crying to me (not sobbing, but that silent crying which is almost even worse because you can tell they're trying so hard to hold it back).  It just finally hit him I guess.

Shit, why couldn't it have worked out and we went to the same school?  I know it's only an hour away, but still...between school and work and activities it's going to be hard.

I hate seeing him cry, I wish I could make everything work out....
