My desk and stereo and everything gets so full of dust in my residence.  I am tempted to blow the $100 for a personal ionizing air purifier.  Does anyone else use one and have comments on whether they work well or not?

I have a nice hepa filter in my room.  It works wonders.  You have to buy a cheap carbon prefilter every 3 months and a $60 or so hepa filter every few years but it's worth it.

I think so. My dad smokes in the house, so my room would stink like smoke. And I don't have a door on my room (long story), but I would keep it near the entrance to my room and it really doesn't smell like smoke anymore, I don't get sick as much and there's like no dust floating around in my room. There used to be dust that would gather on my stereo and stuff, but when I moved it near my bed I decided to see it if worked good and wiped the dust off and it still gathers there after a while, but it takes like 3 times as long. I think it was worth it.

These actually work. I've put one in my room and there is a noticeable difference.

I am just going off what I've read.  I haven't seen any infomercials but from what I have heard the ones from radioshack (The Source)  seem not bad.
