The Project: DormWire
Code Name: Silky Llama
Web Address: http://www.dormwire.com

This website is for college students only.
It has everything that LiveWire does PLUS extras!

It is a project I have just recently completed to allow college students to exchange textbooks, movies, professor reviews, messages, and photos.

Directions:
1. Go to the website and sign in using your LiveWire account.
2. If it does not currently have your school listed you will need to click "Add School" and give me time to approve your school.

I want to hear feedback from you!

A word of caution:
If you don't have a valid college email address don't convert your LiveWire Account at DormWire because you will not be able to receive the verification email. If you cannot receive the verification email you will find yourself unable to post on LiveWire. If this happens to you you can use the following link (found in my account) to close your DormWire account: http://www.golivewire.com/forums/myaccount.cgi?subaction=undormwire

Thanks, and enjoy DormWire!
I've been working very, very hard on it and I am incredibly excited about this project!

Wow, I got really freaked out when I saw your title, as I thought for a minute it was the same name as my website.  Whoops, four years of college and I still can't read.  Anyway, the site looks great, and I hope to see more people from my school on the site soon.  Maybe we can find a way to connect our sites, mine is DormWISE (http://www.dormwise.com) and it's also a resource for college students.  Drop me a PM if you want to talk about making college student sites :)

My college isn't posted on the site.

I'm the only one for mine as well, and I'm not attending that institution that year, so being on it is silly in more ways than one.  But there's no way off that I can see

I'm the only person at my school on Dormwire, and I knew that this would be so. I think I joined it just to make Davjs feel better about participation in his new program.

And how do we change our college on DormWire?
SwiftPainfulSparrow Posted at 3:41 am on Aug. 1, 2007
David, is there any way to get off of Dormwire once we're on it?
DefaultTo0 Posted at 5:32 am on April 14, 2007
David - is it possible to change / remove your school once your account is linked to it?

Would this be for the UK Equivalent of University Students?
Newfie Posted at 3:06 pm on Jan. 21, 2007
Its the same as Livewire College forums.
TheatreMinelli Posted at 5:44 am on Jan. 12, 2007
Great Idea but there are not many UK Universities on here, so I cannot join.
