I have a really low tolerance to alcohol.  My friends and I only used to drink once every say 3 weeks.  But when ever we would drink we would get drunk.  Now we have started drinking 2-3 times a week.  My friends don't get drunk that fast.  But for me when I have more than 5 drinks I start bouncing off the walls.  I go from this introvert to the loudest person in the room.  I start making jokes.

But the thing is, I don't really like drinking that much.  I don't like how my personality changes.  I like the boring dull me.  So when ever we drink I only have 1 drink and I sip it all night so no once notices.  What would you do?  Is this a good solution

Just say you don't want to drink, they can't make you.

If you don't want to drink in excess then that's a fine choice. I am apt to make that choice myself as well. Just because your friends like getting drunk doesn't mean that you should be required to as well, and there is nothing wrong with having different opinions on this matter from your friends.

I agree. Don't let peer pressure or the need to fit in drag you down.

But the thing is, I don't really like drinking that much.  I don't like how my personality changes.  Wine makes me dull.   I prefer not to drink.

Say no. If you don't want to drink, than don't. If they give you shit about that, than find yourself new friends.

If you don't want to drink, then don't drink no one is forcing you to. I know how you feel though but i love drinking but hate how being drunk feels. so i would do whatever you want to do. But that is a pretty good solution.

or you could stink to soft drinks and no alcohol, personally with the negative effects alcohol has on you, if i dont intend on getting drunk i prefer not to drink at all

Don't drink at all...Would they make fun of you or something?
MushroomSatsujin Posted at 7:49 pm on May 17, 2009
Or just quit. Say you dont want to drink

Do whatever you feel comfortable with. If you don't want to drink a lot, don't.

Just don't drink.  I take like half a drink and I'm bouncing off the walls lol, so apparently I have a really low tolerance of it.

But anyway, if you like who you are when you don't drink, don't like to drink, and have low tolerance to it, then why drink?

Ya, if you honestly don't like it.
