It's pretty overwhelming .. i'm just glad me & my roommate get alongg. she's like the complete opposite of me though hah. superr social & talkative .. so it kinda makes me feel like a bore. & especially since we meet people together usually lol.

so yeah, it's pretty fun, but just scary. any advice??

Go to the shows the schools offer. We just had Jason Bishop, an Illusionist. I met a lot of people, there, including Mr. Bishop himself. ;)

Go to Fundraisers. Get out of the dorms, once in a while.

Oh, and get a Mentoring JOb, if you can.

You're still new to the environment. Trust me, once the semester gets into swing, you'll feel more comfortable and more willing to try socializing more. You just have to ease into it.

make the most of it.
&& kinda use your roommate to your advantage,
so you can meet new ppl to your likings.
