Don't fret... its only the first couple of days at college. You'll find someone to hang out with soon enough. I suggest you start getting involved with clubs on campus. Thats the easiest way to make friends and meet new people. It's hard from going from (And yes, this is so cliched) the big fish in the little pond, to a little fish in the big pond. You'll find your niche and soon enough have plenty of friends.

i had the same problem, i met this girl and hung out with her and her friend and everything was great. but then they ditched me. but its been 3 weeks now and I've made friends and everythings awesome. i didn't fit in the first couple of weeks but I'm starting to fit in now. just try to hang out with the people you click with rather than the people who just seem cool.

You just need to focus more on being a little more confident, maybe going to clubs or maybe taking part in any sports, the gym is a good way to meet people. Dont worry, you're new, so it will take a little time to get used to it :)

It's only three days after...you won't establish groups that fast. There's a huge campus like you said. Talk to your classmates, at the dining hall, at school events, etc. There are tons of places to meet people and there's no excuse for not finding at least someone to talk to.
