The thing about freshman grades is that a strong first semester gives you a nice cushion, and will help to pad your GPA in the face of the higher level courses you'll be taking in subsequent semesters. But, with there being 8 semesters, unless you go to school for shorter or longer than is typical, once semester is only so relevant. Since you're slightly above average at present, don't worry too much.

I don't think the first year is the hardest because, your course of study gets hard as you progress through your program. Currently i am going into my second year and my courses are more challenging than first year courses. The transistion from high school to university or college to university varys for everyone. It may or may not be the hardest year. I don't think your grades will come back to haunt you. Give yourself time to adjust to university.

Transition-wise, yes, your first term in university will be the hardest. It usually takes time for one to fully change over into the different learning/studying style. Content-wise, however, it'll be your easiest (of course, depending on which courses you take or your program). Nonetheless, my first year second term marks were higher than first terms' (despite being harder content).

Dude, just focus on the grades the first year. Try not to get wasted like I did, and definitely talk to someone if shit gets out of hand. My first two years at college sucked, and I wish I would have talked to my bros before everything fell apart. Message me if you want more advice. -MSB

It depends on the courses you take. I did an accelerated program in high school which gave me a college course load so I thought university was pretty easy. I also purposely picked easy classes for my first semester to help with my adjustment of moving away from home. Because of the easy transition, my first semester was definitely the easiest. Again, it depends on the courses you are taking.
