Replies HatesYou Posted at 7:25 pm on April 24, 2008 not at the school i'll be attending. but i'm pretty sure having one will be sweettt... not for social purposes, but simply because a laptop would help me keep everything organized and whatnot. i was also wondering (for you college students) if laptops were allowed in class? if so, that'd be awesome, because we'd be able to type our notes. always a plus. i tend to get messy when taking notes ja114023 Posted at 5:17 pm on April 22, 2008 no not really I don't have one either. penguincube Posted at 1:25 am on April 21, 2008 If you can afford it, do it.  My laptop has come in handy at school more than once.  But honestly, I don't bring it most of the time.  Between the public computer labs and the newspaper office, I have no problem finding 'Net access without lugging my own computer around.   SLfan Posted at 4:50 pm on April 20, 2008 I feel that it is necessary.  Yeah, the school libraries provide computers for you, but it's a pain to get a hold of one and/or wait for one to become available.  It also doesn't help when the library doesn't stay open in after-hours on the weekends incase you are that kind of student.  I recommend getting one. moehowardfan Posted at 4:48 pm on April 20, 2008 my mom says I'm going to get one for college, so I think they're necessary.
