Now I'm stuck in bed most of the day, because I can't breathe because my lungs have an infection and my ears are infected as well. I swear I'll go nuts if this infection gets to my brain again...
for those who don't know what an infection of the brain is like:
you lose bits of memory, your core body temperature fluctuates wildly, and your mood swings change almost instantly when the infection reaches a critical stage. worst of all, it's hard to treat and can last months...
I worked so hard, and finally have a chance to go to south korea, one of the countries I've always wanted to see before I die(with an immune system like mine, not much one can do but wait for the infection that kills you).
of course, I'll fight like crazy...but it's so hard. I keep a brave face, and not show I'm scared to death. My mother understands...but since I've moved in with my father...I just let him blow it off as me just being a hypochondriac(it's partially true. I freak out with just allergies...but I do have a good reason, with my immune system constantly trying to get to normal at times, which is usually short lived).
I just wish my good health lasted at least a year or two longer...
Sometimes, i just wish there were something for you too... :(
But given my immune system's status, I most likely get things through direct contact. I have to take a lot of vitamins, minerals, and various other medications, depending on the type of infection. I have to go get eardrops this week to directly treat the infection in my ears.
I feel bad, because I have to ask people to speak louder and repeat themselves, though. (thank god for Instand Messengers)
Rabies is a viral zoonotic disease that causes acute encephalitis. There is a vaccine against it.
The disease is transmitted through the saliva and the blood. The usual form of getting is a bite of a rabid mammal. Pets, like dogs need to be vaccinated against it, in most countries.
Syphilis is a disease. It is one of the sexually transmitted diseases. This means it can be spread by having sex. Condoms can prevent it from spreading.
The disease is caused by a bacterium, called Treponema pallidum. Most transmissions occur through the sexual route. Very rarely, it can also be spread by direct contact, or from the mother to the child.
Treatment is usually symptomatic. Reliably tested specific antiviral agents are available only for a few viral agents (e.g. acyclovir for herpes simplex virus) and are used with limited success for most infection except herpes simplex encephalitis. In patients who are very sick, supportive treatment, such as mechanical ventilation, is equally important.

What I mean is... Maybe there is something out there, I don't know, I don't want to give you false hopes, but maybe there is something that can help you about the disease.
You should look into the matter a little bit.
