I just found out today that a friend of mine passed away sometime this past week.

He and i went to elementary school and high school together, so i pretty much grew up with him.

We hadn't really talked much since high school, only occassionally over myspace or facebook..

There's a huge group of us reuniting in his memory sometime in July, so that should help all of us a bit.

But for now im just sad. And i want to know how you guys deal with grief. Maybe it'll help.

Life goes on . . Thats pretty much all there is to it . .

When we learn to accept reality, we know no matter what we do, nothing will change what has happened.

Cherish the memories, but move on in life. . That would be what the person would want you to do . .

When one of my close relatives passed away, it took quite a toll on us, but it really helped when we learned that the best way to get over it was to keep him in memory, but to get on with life - nothing we could ever do will bring him back . . I now keep some of hits items close to hear (well, not so cuddly things though), I have his briefcase, and his badminton raquet that I've been playign wtih all these years. It still stirs up fond memories but I no longer feel the grief of losing him . .

Time heals a lot of things. .  we just gotta learn to suck it up in the meantime.

Some suggestions - maybe take a nature walk and enjoy the beauty of nature and the little things around us, it really helps to get a better perspective of life - Take note of all the little insects and life around us, and you'll feel much better.
