How is it not a hypothesis...hypothesis is an wducated guess based on observation... i was observing documentary's and guessed to myself that MAYBE religion comes from egyptians since they belived in gods well before anyone else recorded!!!
Ugh, I'm not bothering with you anymore.
That would be a change...for once i won't have you criticising my own thoughts...ignorance seriously
So the guy who provided definitions and links (me) is wrong, and the dude pulling things out of their ass (you) is right?
There was a topic (this one) I said what i thought about it (ME) and you started to critisise it saying im wrong (YOU)...its my(MINE) opinion get it in to your head already |

Unfortunately... that's a swing and a miss, my dear. Zorastorism could be argued not as one of the first recorded beliefs, but that an apparently duality of a deity is sufficient for the entirety of a belief to begin with. Monotheism isn't synonymous with Bitheism (or Dualism), Pantheism, or Polytheism. Granted, the civilization was around for a great deal and lived long enough to see kings and queens of old, but shouldn't we consider how the embodiment of a particular belief should take precedent rather than who was alive first to coin a particular phrase or ideal? |

| Well, the Egyptians were not the first ones to follow religion. I know before them, the Mesopotamians worshipped their gods, which were their explanation for the unpredictable nature of their rivers. |

You don't know what you're talking about.
Ok look back at what i said... "I THINK" see that...well that means that i dont have proff or back up its only my personal theory!!!
I think its pretty idiotic to have a theory for which there exists no proof.
Its a theory not a principal...
*principle. And a theory still needs A LOT of proof. Yours is conjecture.
OMG a theory is what you think, a principle is what you have proven over and over again...
Conjecture: the formation or expression of an opinion or theory without sufficient evidence for proof. Theory: a coherent group of general propositions used as principles of explanation for a class of phenomena: Einstein's theory of relativity. http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/conjecture http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/theory
Well then its a Hypothesis...who cares its what i think not what really happened...everyone has their own idea's on it...doesent mean mine is retarded just cos its not the same as your's...
It's not even a hypothesis, because there are counterexamples. |

| I'm more along the lines that the Sumerians started religion by worshipping the sun and stars, cataloging their movements and such, and that supposedly from this worship, the sun and stars were later given human personifications and characteristics and transformed the worship, practice and Bible stories into what we know it today. |
