Do you feel like you need your religion, I mean like you would be missing something if it wasn't there anymore?

And is that feeling something you don't think you could get from anything else?

To mix things up, I have no official religion. Now if say Christianity turned out to be real, I believe I would be incredibly depressed. I cant even imagine the thought of not having control over my life

Fortunately for you, Christianity doesn't prevent you from "having control over my life".

Do you seriously think we're all brainwashed Christ-bots that are incapable of self-determination and lacking of free will?

Futhermore, what does it matter to you if I have religion or not? Does it offend you somehow? Am I less of a person for having religion?

Jerk.

I never said there was anything wrong with religion. If you believe, then good for you. But imo, To think I have to live my life to one person(or god), Ill feel like I have to live up to their expectations. Thus, I wont feel I have control over my life. I know people who are themselves, but still serve the Lord. But thats just not the life fore me.

of course. i would feel completely empty without my relationship with the Lord. and that feeling can only come from Jesus. earthly things and people may feel like they are filing the void, but in the long run you will know that there is still something missing

Adherents to other religions will say exactly the same thing. Fact is, everyone fills their void in their own way, and ultimately it's all in your head. It can be exactly as freeing and fulfilling knowing you're on your own and responsible for your own life as it is for you to feel this "relationship with the lord."

I am more a cultural chritain than an actual Christian I do feel that I and everyone else needs God in their lives to feel complete.  I know it sounds cliche but I have never felt whole until I truly found God. Its like this extreme sense of security and love. People get God mixed up with the people who practice Christianity.

I have lost a lot of my religion and trying to gain it back is very difficult. And i feel even more lost without it. Its hard to be Catholic

i wouldn't feel like i lost something, i would just wonder all the time, who made us? where do we go when we die? stuff like that.
