Some guy I knew in school sent me this through Facebook and I thought the video was pretty cool, even though it doesn't seem very likely this is a true story, because I would of stood up regardless of what anyone thought, and I'm sure others would of as well.
The former position is inherently irrational and therefore cannot be vindicated (even if the conclusions are ultimately proven correct).
The latter requires no vindication.

The higher power I believe in, created the universe, and it's true identity is the unknown. [ Opinion ] This is my reason as to "Why". Why is your belief any more rational than an Egyptian deciding the sun must be pushed through the sky by a dung beetle? I'm sure the ancients couldn't imagine the Earth's orbit.

"Because it's my choice" is not a reason. Why is it your choice?
The logic for what I believe in? There doesn't have to be logic when someone is believing the unknown. I personally don't need any proof for what I believe in. I'll believe it regardless if it's true or not. Why? Because it's my choice.
Again... I don't know and I honestly could care less, because there's no possible way to know unless I have a conscious after death.
You are correct, I'm sorry for saying that. Because if someone believed in the Big Bang Theory, they would of had to of known the facts and proof behind it first, before believing in it. Well no I take that back... someone could also wish to believe the theory without even knowing any knowledge about it. So yeah disregard what I said in that statement, it's irrelevant when trying to base it on everyone.
In simple terms, the theory states that all the matter and energy in the Universe was concentrated at one point, and that everything subsequently expanded outwards, and continues to expand.
It does not deal with the "creation of the Universe". It simply explains the cosmological structure of the Universe.
By the way, could you use [ quote] stuff I said [/ quote] in future? It makes the post easier to read.

The idea of the universe always existing is just as far-fetched and unable to be proven as God.
Who said anything you believe must be proven?
Belief and Fact are too different things, you must understand this.
And who said the video was meant to try and convert people? Yourself maybe? The video is just telling a story and the message behind it.
It's sad people are starting to think like computers as in, they believe there must be proof for EVERYTHING (literally). I'm just curious... for all you Big Bang Theorists out there, why do you seek to know exactly how everything was created? Does it really matter? Is it going to make you a different person? Is it going to help you in any way? How would you feel if 100% proof was actually discovered? Would you just bash everyone who didn't believe it?
And again I would just like to say I don't believe no single person is right and everyone else is wrong. I respect everyone's beliefs. If you wish to belief there must be a scientifically answer to everything that's just fine, I don't have a problem with it. =]
So, because we do not know what was "before" the Big Bang, you assume God? Why not assume a magical duck? Or a unicorn? Why is a god any more likely? As for that magical chalk myth, it's just more laughable propaganda.

i'm not a christian, that was aimed at christains. Created obviously by an amatuer. Story about the professor was a lie, obv.
I alos very often share what i believe with other people. if they think its stupid i don't care because thats what i believe.
Also, that video is complete bullshit LOL how can you honestly believe that.
If that was supposed to convert me, they did a really shitty half-assed job at doing so much like every other Christian who tries to "save" me.
