I have been scared of any penetration because I am afraid it is going to hurt... Well we've been together for quite a few months now and I finally have put my mind at ease to the idea of fingering, so the other day i let him. the first time we "tried" he was real gentle and didnt go in very far at all (even though it felt like a lot to me) but a couple days later he finally got his middle finger almost all the way in. it pinched a little bit and afterwards i bled a little. so I guess my question is if that is normal? is my hymen broken or did it just bleed because it was strectching it out a little bit? I dont think my hymen is broken because it bled like a tiny tiny bit, and I think that it would bleed more.. oh and one more question, does this mean losing my virginity will most likely hurt for me if just one finger hurts me?

Here are some thoughts: <p> 1. Go very very slow <p> 2. As others said, get aroused and relaxed. Or relaxed first (massage) then aroused (from e.g. oral) second. <p> 3, Stay in control, at least the first time, since you are the one more likely to be more vulnerable to pain etc. One way is to have him lie on his back and you can slowly gently slower yourself (you can add lubrication on his penis if you worry your natural lubrication isn't enough; every woman is different and there's nothing 'wrong' with you if you need extra lube..use water-based lube) <p> If he feels it's not masculine enough that way, with you in almost total control of the in-out, tell him you think he is sexy and he is just great in any position, including this sexual position.. tell him not to let society's messages that the man should be in control etc, affect him. <p> 4. If you worry or he worries he won't be able to control himself and will want to 'shove' it in, one way to handle that is let him have his orgasm first. Then let him get aroused and erect again, this time he'll have more control. Then use the above steps. <p> Good luck. And yes, it'll probably hurt. I'm the exact same way, only a finger hurts me, and sex did/does hurt. I recommend lube and being properly aroused before doing it. And yes, a penis will hurt worse than a finger because a finger is smaller. Your hymen might tear some more.
