It certainly has the potential to be, but on the whole, does not have as many deaths associated with it (although that needs to be researched) usually does not make people violent, and a responsible person can have more self control doing pot versus drinking. They might act funny, but it's usually not as dangerous. There needs to be programs that teach how to use pot responsibly, and resources for people that want to smoke it but don't want to let it turn into a huge problem. If authorities keep telling teens its terrible, and they smoke it and find out it's really not, then they're more likely to turn away, ignore what they have to say, and make poor decisions because they don't know what to trust. Tax revenu well over $10,000,000,000 USD each year. Also think of the money it costs to lock up people who smoke pot.
