My teacher worked at a hair salon for 10 years and told me all about it. I've also researched a bit and decided that I might want to become a hairstylist. I told my mom today and both her and my dad FLIPPED out on me. They started making fun of me and told me that I was too stupid for any other job anyway. They think hairstylists have the crappiest jobs and get paid 8 bucks an hour. She is making me look like a retard that isn't capable of even doing simple math. She even called me an ungrateful bitch because they "brought me to Canada to become something big" and I chose to be a hairstylist. Honestly, do they get paid that little? Or is my mom just over reacting? I can't wait to move out of this hell hole.

In the end, it won't matter what THEY want, if YOU are happy, that's all that matters. If they love you, they will accept that, even if it takes a while.
