I'd like to become a CRNFA (certified registered nurse first assistant), but it seems I have to, 1: obtain a BSN, and 2: first become a CNOR. I'm not sure what a CNOR is or does, but I'm thinking it's a scrub nurse or perioperative nurse.

So my questions are as follow:

*1: Can I be eligible to sit for the CNOR exam with an associates degree in nursing and a certificate in surgical technology?

*2: In the present time is it absolutely necessary to have a BSN prior to becoming a CRNFA? Wil an ASN just not doi? If not, why?

*3: What other jobs are there in the operating room for specialized RNs other than CRNFA, scrub nurse, perioperative nurse, and circulating nurse?

Thanks for the help.
