I was wondering if anyone has any favorite interview questions they've heard or they ask?

A co worker and I make up totally inappropriate questions for laughs (I won't share them here, but you probably could come up with very similar ones.)

Myself, I hate those logic puzzles.  Some of the folks at my job ask them, I'm so stupid with them, I have no clue most of the time.  Anyways, here are two questions that you guys can play around with or laugh about:

1.  (Logic)  You are in a room with 3 light switches, each in the off position.  In the next room, there are three light bulbs in the off position.  Your goal is to determine which switch goes to which light bulb.  However, once you enter the 2nd room with the bulbs, you must make your decision.  (ie, you cannot go back and forth and watch).  This is not a trick question, there are no magical chickens controlling lights..

(Note:  I don't ask questions like this.. I try to avoid questions I'm too stupid to answer myself.)

2.  You are setting up a tournament.  Each 'game' will be 1vs1, and there are any number of even players.  You would like each player to play each other player once, and then the outcomes would determine the winner.  (this allows everyone to play everyone, it's fair.. :))  Each of these Rounds players would play a different oppenent, so each player only plays the other player once.  Find a way to setup these Rounds.

I might PM you guys the answer sometime.

Here's another one.. not really logic, but it does require a bit of thought.

3.  How many gas stations are there in the United States?

Nevermind I cheated and looked it up, it was bothering me haha.
I won't give away the answer though.

Ugh I've heard that light question so many times, and I've heard the answer... I just can never remember it. What is the answer?

I dislike you. What's the answer to the first one!?
