I've been toying around with the idea of taking up knitting as a hobby. I'd love to make a beret or a scarf, haha.

Does anyone here knit? How'd you get started? What have you knitted?

I knit. It's a great hobby to have, it's relaxing and fun, and useful. Start off by getting a knitting book, of going to a knitting store and taking a lesson.

I've knitted a bunch of scarves, a couple of hats, some leg warmers, a baby doll blanket, some bookmarks, and some other stuff. Nothing too complicated.

My 5th grade class, I remember, was obsessed with knitting, even the boys. We all would sit at "read-a-loud" period and knit and listen to the story.

I got started in a fashion design class.
I made scarves, and hats.

I prefer sewing though. Much more fun.
