The strenuous nature of the job also causes life long damage to your body, in particular the soles of your feet (from the heels) and especially your knees. Depending on the  moves that you do, it can also damage your spine and other body parts. But your knees are almost a given gone if you dance for any long period of time. Just ask Jenna Jameson.
