However at 16 you may not be able to find somewhere to rent and you will not be able to buy property. At 16 you can get a full time job, but you will not get any minimum wage (the lower limit does not apply until 18 and the upper limit 21/22) and a lot of places tend not to employ under-18s. If you're planning to move out at 16, get your parents to pretend that you're estranged from them (they kicked you out). You can get a job at 16, but it wont be proper or anything. 18, is the age you can move out and get a good job.
