one more thing. since you pay a dmoain year by year, is it the same for hosting? or is it 6,7,8 a month?
You could pay for hosting yearly, but it's a bad idea if you decide you don't want your site anymore.
lol true. is there anyway to pay monthly?
Uh, that's how pretty much all companies work, month to month.
not domains though normally its per year for a domain same for hosting (just priced month/month)
That's because domain registration operates on a yearly basis. Registrars have no choice but to charge by the year. |

what do domain prices range from?
try not to pay anything over $10-15 for a .com but it depends on the LTD go to namecheap or godaddy and check out the prices there
$10-15 a month or for a year? does the price stay the same if the site gets bigger?
a year and yes the re-registration costs are the same each year (unless the company changes their pricing) |

| Per year. Domain prices are not based upon popularity. They're based on registration fee and a profit margin. So it's fixed. It'll be hosting that gets more expensive as your site gets bigger. |

| Like £1 to £50 a year, if no one's registered it prior. Domains can sell for thousands privately, though. |

| Depends on the company holding it. I have seen monthly through one time per multi-year payments. |

| it depends you can buy one for a year then re-register it for years to come or you can buy for a few years upfront (it costs the same amount for each year unless of course the company you buy it off changes their prices) |
