Host2x.com is a brilliant free host. only available in US, Canada, UK
Csnewmedia.co.uk is a great paid hosting. It's cheap, fast and has great uptime.

I decided to use JSHOSTS, jshosts = best fucking website ever.

$3 usd/month = 2.5gb diskspace, 100gb traffic, unlimited emails, mysql databases, ftp accts, addon domains, parked domains, sub domains!!!!

I've found that DreamHost has really good deals and is quite stable. Many big websites use dreamhost. It's about $6/month for unlimited everything and another ~$8/year for a domain name. Hostgator looks good too, but dreamhost is simpler and easier to use...

I recommend http://www.heartinternet.co.uk. They're a large company, also a major ISP in the UK (though they don't run TV ads :P), and they can offer the closest to "unlimited" of any host out there, as they just expand their hardware as necessary. Their tech support is brilliant, and their knowledgebase is thoroughly populated. I've also experienced no downtime and I've been with them for 3 years now. They also cope well with high intensity usage - I use one of my sites as a download server for counter strike servers, and I've seen 10gb of transfer a day sustained well.

I worked for HostGator as a Technical Support Officer Level II. They are horrible, major overseller, bad support and pathetic staff. I am into web hosting myself and used to be hosted by DigitalWorldHost.com but sadly they shut down, they were the best. Remember, NOTHING is unlimited, always hidden catches, check the Terms of Service.

I may be wrong, but what your suggesting is against HostGator's TOS for resource usage.

Try http://jshosts.com/ or http://www.gcwebhosting.com/ or cheapvps.co.uk
